She's 1.5! (Another fun weekend)

My sweet little Lala is a year and a half old!!
Stay tuned for 18 month stats - her appointment is on Friday...

Lucy had another adventurous weekend...on Friday night mama and daddy got invited to go to the Reds game with Reese's parents (in the diamond seats!) so GranJan came to play...and it seems GranJan thinks our house is a little bigger than it is and brought Lucy a bunch of new (to us) toys she'd scored at a yard sale that day...speaking of which - does anyone need a couch?  I think we may need to get rid of ours to fit all of Lucy's things in our living room...no worries, though, she has enough chairs for all of us to sit in:
Lucy and GranJan had fun playing with her new toys and exploring in the backyard.

On Saturday morning, Lucy and I went to our first cross country meet of the season.  Lucy had a lot of fun running around:

She was pretty friendly with the girls...she liked watching them stretch and warm up:

She even passed out hugs before the race!

Who wants a hug?

Have a good race, girls!
When the girls went to run, my girl went to snack!

After the race, though, all of the hugs were for the coach!

That night, Lucy had more fun in store for her.  Dave and I went to my cousin Ryan's wedding while Lucy stayed behind with Grandma and Troy...she was the hit of yet another party with them!  I'm told she was a good girl (maybe because they served Skyline which meant "dog dogs" and cheese, two of her very favorites, for dinner!) and had a blast.
We had a nice time at the wedding, too:

Sunday we wrapped up another busy, fun-filled weekend at my Granny's birthday party at Donna's house...she played well with Lucia and Alex and Jared (not pictured):

This girl looooooooooves my dad!  She always talks about him...every time I tell her we're going somewhere, I ask who she thinks she's going to see and she always guesses "pawpaw" first...and when I tell her GranJan is coming over, she smiles and gets happy, but then immediately asks if Grandpa will be coming, too.  The two of them had fun playing outside during the party (I was a sneaky paparazzi in the window):

Happy half birthday, Lucygirl!

She ate Cheerios - with milk! - for breakfast on Sunday!

Weekend Fun

Lucy and I had tons of fun last weekend!  On Saturday she finally got to meet her newest cousin...sweet baby Paisley!  She wasn't so sure at first:

But she and Alli played and colored together and had a great time:

Soon it was time to revisit that whole "new cousin" thing...

They had a nice day and can't wait to hang out again soon!

Though Lala was not on her very best behavior at the last play date, her friends forgave her and the twins invited everyone over to play.  Stacy came this time and took lots of cute pics of our kids!  Below you will see a mix of pics - some taken by me and some by Stacy...we'll start with some cute shots of my girl (these are primarily from Stacy's portfolio):

Totally cheesing for Stacy's camera!

Playing peek-a-boo with Stace!

I took this one and it cracks me up because at the angle I took it,
it looks like one of her pigtails is missing!

Acting like a doggy...

Remember this?

Dave requested an updated shot and asked that the kiddos be in the same order:

September 2012
Someone started to lose interest...haha...
Looks like EJ is sucked into the TV but Lulu and Lala are wondering where CB's headed...

Lucy and EJ (their feet, anyway) during lunch time:

Don't worry, Karli was there, too!

This baby is soooo good (and sooo cute!) - she loves tummy time and is
totally content to roll around and make noises for herself!
Lucy had fun playing with Lauren and EJ while I played with my friend Claire Bear!

Later when we were looking at pictures,
I asked Lucy who was in this one and she said,
"Mama!  Bear bear!"

Stacy is funny!

Modeling for my camera!

Digging in!

Yep, they made a mess at "Titty's" house, too!
(Yep, that's how Lucy pronounces "Tiffany")

We had one more adventure in store for us over the weekend...at my family reunion.
Lucy spent a lot of time, as always when they're around one another, with Cleo...Cleo is soooo good with Lucy (and so good to her!)...she plays with her and watches over her and Lucy loves her!!  Lucy, my little independent gal, who refuses to hold my hand when we're walking (running) across the street to the park and often tries to run faster to put some distance between us, never seems to want to escape from her friend Cleo...they played together on the playground:

Lucy would not crawl through here, even after watching Cleo do so...
She loves playing in mulch but there was some in there and she just kept pointing at it
and saying/signing "dirty" - such a priss!

Don't get me wrong, though...the girl still loves showcasing her independence:

She had fun playing with other friends, too...
Like her GranJan...

And my dad...pawpaw

And Sam...though she pronounces it Ma - backwards and with a silent "s," I guess...

Lucy is getting really good about repeating names - there was a time where there were several names she would not even attempt (and would instead giggle when you asked her to say one of them).  Many of the names she says sound the same but she'll get there...in the meantime, there is only one name that she will not attempt: LUCY!
When she sees pictures of herself, instead she just says, "baby."
