Lucy first rolled from her belly to her back about a month ago...besides this being a wonderful milestone, it was even more miraculous considering how much the girl HATES tummy time!
Dave wasn't home but I called him right away to tell him...she and I were up in her room and she was laying on a blanket while I put laundry away. I didn't exactly see the entire "move" but suddenly she was no longer on her belly!
Later that evening, while Dave was cutting grass, she did it again...but he missed it again...
In the past month, due to her pure hatred of tummy time, she hasn't rolled from her belly to her back...her preferred method of getting off her belly is to throw a holy fit until I turn her!
She's been moving all around...her legs get to swinging and she can have her head and feet in opposite spots within a matter of minutes.
But last week my smart girl made an even bigger move...while she and I were playing, she rolled from her back to her belly!! I turned her back...and she did it again! Sadly, Dave wasn't there to see this, either.
Over the past week, she hadn't done any more rolling and I wondered if Dave thought I'd hallucinated all of her rolls...but last night, while it was just us girls again, she went from back to belly! I called out to Dave but he couldn't come see and she did it a few more times! I was applauding my girl and cheering her on as if she were the first baby to ever accomplish such a feat (wasn't she??) so hopefully Dave didn't still doubt me...but later, she finally showed her daddy what she could do...she rolled over for him a few times while I was off tending to more laundry...
